Hey, friend. How are you doing? How is your staff doing? There is a lot going on throughout the country that is raising the stress levels of so many of our team. Add to that the perils of flu season and personal struggles, you may have folks that are running on fumes – mentally and physically.
Check in on your people. Give them a bit of grace. Yes, work must still be done. Deadlines must be met but let’s make sure that our teams are not struggling. Share resources – company provided and otherwise – that can help everyone be their best self. Reinforce company beliefs. Give people a safe space to vent. Laugh more. Lean into the EQ.
Finally, remember that as a leader you must model the behavior. If you are struggling, appropriately share that with your team. But don’t only share the struggle, share how you are working through it and still striving to be your best.
